For trail days
Think layers and good shoes.
For cozy cabin nights
Pack the comfy stuff.
Little extras
The things you’ll be glad you brought.
Quick tips
- Pack a rain layer. Mountain showers can pop up fast.
- Bringing the dog? Check your cabin’s pet rules. In Great Smoky Mountains National Park, dogs are only allowed on two trails.
- Download maps before you go. Cell service can be spotty in the mountains.
- Plan one slow day at the cabin. That’s half the magic.
